Life is full of misunderstandings,
We see them happen every day.
And it's sad to sit by and watch them,
When we know there's a better way.

It may be a word that is spoken,
Or a glance, or the nod of a head...
When someone meant it to be good,
But was misunderstood instead.

When we hear only half a story,
Or repeat what others have said,
We may speak completely without malice...
But be misunderstood instead.

This problem of communications
Is one we all have known, but
If we stop and think about it,
We may understand we have grown.

If we just take the time to listen,
And try to understand our fellow man,
We can prevent many misunderstandings...
And share the Master's Plan.

Why can't the Christmas spirit
Last the whole year through?
Why don't we think of others first
Like some folks often do?

Wouldn't it be nice if everyone
Could feel the warmth of Christmas each day...
If we could keep forgiveness in our hearts
And pass it to those we meet on our way.

Perhaps we should be thankful
That it comes at least once a year...
That folks consent to forgive and forget
And wish their loved ones good cheer.

We're all touched by the Christmas feeling,
It just doesn't stay with us many days.
Wouldn't it be nice to keep it's warmth
And make people happy always!
