A new baby girl named Amy Marie...
And she's just as pretty as she can be!

She arrived Wednesday
The 9th of December...
That's a date we're all going to remember.

6 lbs. 9-1/2 ounces and 19 inches...
She's already been given
Some loving pinches.

Her Mommy, Anny and Daddy Bill
Think she's quite a whiz....
And all we can say as we announce her birth is
GOLLY...HAPPINESS IS!!!

Wrote this one for the family of a dear friend who passed
away....First seven lines spell her name......

G iving so much to so many
A lways there with a helping hand
R evealing in so many ways, the
N earness of God's lifetime plan.

E veryone thought of her highly
L ittle ones flocked to her side..the
L onely felt her touch of love..
Many times did her guidance abide.

Yet there was so much to her life on earth
From morning til evening was through
Remembering all the good times we shared
Is something I'll always do!

Evening has come now...and time for rest
No more pain or sorrow she'll know
And days ahead will help us see
Just how much she helped all of us grow!

Wrote this one for a family to whom I gave a "Come N Get it"
triangle as a gift.

When Doreen calls "Come and Get it
Before it gets all cold?
This handy little item
Will get the story told.

When Ben is outside workin...
A long way from the phone...
Just give it a rap or two
And he will hear the tone.

When Lee and Bee are off somewhere...
And it gets to be supper time..
Two or three good licks on this
And they're sure to hear the chime.

We hope it serves the purpose
For which it was intended.
And we are pretty sure it will...
As long as it's suspended.

Since all meditations in Quet Moments have been posted..I am not posting from my new book Reflections of Love. Some of these have been done by request. When asked to write one I say Yes, IF the words come to me..I feel I simply hold the pen, God does the writing.

Why does seersucker pucker?
Won't you please tell me?
Who puts the pucker in seersucker?
I'm confused as can be.

Why does a dill pickle trickle
Every time you're at a tea?
At any other time would it trickle?
Won't you please tell me?

We all ask ourselves these questions...
We all have the answer 1,2,3...
But the answers don't always match the questions...
That's why I need your answers..don't you see?

Who took the bucket from Nantucket?
The answer is clear, it's plain to see...
There never was a bucket so how could
Nan a tuck it?...
I'm confused as can be.

"Does the chewin gum lose it's flav'r"
Was a hit in days gone by...
This may never make it...
But we're givin it a try.

Why does seersucker pucker?
And a pickle go tricklin' down?
If you have the answers to these questions...
Then you're really going to town!

Wait world...slow it down a bit...
Everything's going too fast.
What I need is a little time
To make a few quiet moments last.

A little time when I get a chance
To stop and smell the flowers.
Just a few moments is all I ask...
I wouldn't think of asking for hours.

It seems I have forgotten
How nice it is to see...
A sunrise or a sunset...
That was put there just for me.

How nice it is to listen to
And talk to a little child...
Instead of being so aware of
How the world has gone wild.

Or how nice it is the first time
I smell the blossoms on an orange tree...
How nice it is when there is quality time...
Just for you and me.

Please slow things doen just a little bit...
Til I get back on line
With my life as it used to be...
When there seemed to be the time.
