In 1979, my friend KEMO played piano in many clubs in town....
One evening I wrote this on an envelope from my purse as she sat and played to the delight of her audiance.

ODE TO KEMO

She has salt in her beer, but we've nothing to fear
'cause her beer is a bottle of LITE.

But the thing that shows class, is the shape of her
glass..Champagne for everyone tonight!!

If you buy her a drink, you'd best stop and think
Of what kind she's already had...

If she mixes too many or she's already had plenty..
Her songs may begin to sound sad.

Yes, she has salt in her beer, but be of good cheer..
Her LITE's in a champagne glass!!

Someday, I'll not question...

This was written, by request, for my brother to give to his minister who was leaving.

He walks in His footprints, this gentle man.
So happy to help others whenever he can.
He makes you know that life is worthwhile,
Even when you can't find a reason to smile.
The warmth he projects is the genuine kind,
A more genuine man would be hard to find.
His friendship I treasure, his warmth and his love,
Surely he's sent from the Father above!
Yes, he walks in His footsteps, this gentle man,
And we know he is part of a heavenly plan.

her Grandma said.
"She's beautiful and perfect
from her toes up to her head".

She's a SPECIAL gift from God
whose light has shined from above.
He sent a special message
Thru this tiny bundle of love.

He sent her to her Mommie
to give the answers she seeks,
And He made her very special
With her precious chipmunk cheeks

His hand will always guide them
as He watches from above
Because they're both so special
and so filled with His perfect love.

T here are many things to be thankful for...
H appy moments..and happy hours.
A nd many time we are thankful for a
N ew day.. or springtime showers.
K indness is another thing, many times we're
S hown by others; Those who are
G iving of themselves, to show that we are all brothers.
I n the dawning of each new day.. we gain
V ictories all along the way.
I n the hush of evening tide, there is
N owhere to go that love does not abide.
G reat happiness lies in the heart of the man who

I s willing to share of himself. This is
S omething we're told in the stories of old, in

T he books we take down from the shelf.
H appiness is his.. just for the taking,
A nd soon he will know peace of mind.. for
N owhere could he go that he would not
K now, who makes the sun to shine. For
S ome folks the sun's always shining.. because they're

L iving for others each day... So
I nstead of sadness or lonliness...
V ast riches have come their way. Thanksgiving
I s Thanks Living...every day..
N ot just one in the year. We can all show it to others, by
G iving to them words of good cheer.
